We monitor stages to maintain continuity and owner visibility. We do not own docks, guarantee slots or warrant workmanship.
Phase 1 – Pre-arrival planning (often weeks ahead): technical meetings, repair-specification review, material planning, spare-part ordering, survey planning and contractor scheduling.
Phase 2 – Arrival: dock preparation, vessel acceptance, initial inspections, safety briefings and repair kickoff.
Phase 3 – Active repair: steel renewal, mechanical and electrical works, coating, tank inspections, machinery overhaul, pipe fabrication and equipment replacement—daily coordination is essential.
Phase 4 – Testing: functional tests, sea valves, machinery and electrical systems, alarms and navigation equipment verification as applicable.
Phase 5 – Sea trials (scope-dependent): main engine, steering, propulsion, navigation and generator load tests before return to commercial operations.

The hull is the vessel’s backbone. Docking is the opportunity to inspect and strengthen structure before minor deterioration becomes a major problem. Work may include hull and bottom/side shell renewal, deck and bulkhead repairs, tank-top steel, hatch coamings, foundations, pipe supports, reinforcement, welding and NDT preparation.

Propulsion / underwater: propeller inspection, polishing or repair; tail shaft and stern tube; rudder and bearings; shaft alignment checks; rope guards and sea chests—work that is difficult or impossible afloat.
Main and auxiliary machinery: planned overhauls may cover cylinders, pistons, turbochargers, fuel and cooling systems, generators, governors, compressors, FW generators, purifiers, boilers, heat exchangers and pumps. Engineering teams execute; scheduling and communication decide whether packages finish on time.
Pipe fabrication: ballast, bilge, fuel, fire, cooling, hydraulic, cargo and steam systems often require fabrication teams, welders, coating and class to sequence correctly—piping delays cascade into other disciplines.
Many dockings include switchboard and generator work, alarm/automation upgrades, radar/ECDIS and bridge communications, fire detection and emergency power systems. Environmental programmes frequently use the docking window. A BWTS retrofit may involve engineering review, equipment delivery, foundations, pipe and electrical integration, automation, commissioning, crew familiarisation, testing and class verification. Scrubber projects may add structural modifications, exhaust changes, pumps, control systems and performance testing—and often extend the stay.

Riding squads may perform steel, pipe, mechanical, tank, preservation, painting, deck equipment or structural work afloat, alongside or during a voyage—subject to safety and access. Grounding, collision, propulsion failure or structural deficiency may force urgent docking.
